Update 0.8.6 - list of changes


Greetings on a new post about a future update. This post will briefly break down most of the innovations. In version 0.8.6, the changes affect so many different aspects, from some small design changes to a complete overhaul of gameplay, in addition to a lot of bug fixes and game optimization.

The first thing that will be mentioned is the new welcome menu. Now the list of changes, which will mark the main points of the update, will be available in the game itself. Also, there will be links to contact the developers (discord and vkontakte), where you can get answers to your questions, offer your ideas and follow the progress of development, as well as always learn about the release of the latest version.

The editor has also been redesigned. Fixed various bugs related to it, such as the creation of provinces. The customization of scenarios for new game mechanics, such as population changes, has been redone. To all this in the creation of events there is an opportunity to make several solutions with their own effects.

Completely redesigned the country selection menu. Previously there was little information about the country, a list of 5 strongest and weakest countries, and all, now there is much more information about the selected state, two lists of countries united in one complete list of countries from the strongest to the weakest, an addition is a small revision of the beginning of the game, now there is a small tutorial.

A new map has been added to the game, it covers the whole world, not just Europe as before, and has about 700 provinces, which is almost 7 times more than the last one. Since the whole world map has been added, new countries and scenarios have been added.

Completely redesigned game interface, from icons to completely changed panels. Almost all icons have been replaced with new ones, and all panels have received a new design. New data has been added to the country panel. In the province panel, a new display of owners and claimants of the selected province has been made. Due to the complete redesign of technologies, which will be mentioned further on, a panel displaying the level of learned technologies has been added. In the diplomacy panel new data of country actions displays have been added. Also the event and goal panels have been redesigned. The nations panel has been redesigned as a diagram. Ultimatum and trade have been redesigned, now you can ask for more than one province and all actions are signed.

The relationship system between nations has been redesigned in the new version, and with it the chance system for diplomatic actions. Most diplomatic actions now require diplomacy points, otherwise you will not be able to interact with the other country.

Completely new technology system, now they are in the form of branches. There are 3 sections in total so far: economy, politics, and army. Technologies can be mutually exclusive, such as multiple branches in the politics section. Since the technology system has been redesigned, the bonuses have also been redesigned, they have become several times more and have a greater impact on gameplay.

The army in the game is now more than just numbers on a map. Generals have been added to the game. You can both hire and fire them. Generals can be pumped up through battles. Generals themselves have infantry, tanks and airplanes under their control. In connection with the redesign of the army system in the game were redesigned and battles, now there is a battle of generals, with their attack and defense characteristics and their armies.

Saves have also undergone changes. With them were fixed a lot of bugs, as well as saving now have in the name of not only the time of saving, but also the name of the country for which you played.
