0.8.6 - Revolutions

Post in Russian: https://vk.com/throughtheage

This post will break down the reworked mechanics of revolutions. Previously there was a version called "Update 0.8.3 - Coups and Revolutions" which introduced a whole new mechanic, but no matter how much it was refined, it still ended up with a lot of bugs as the game progressed, so in 0.8.6 the revolution system has been completely changed.

Previously the mechanics were a bit anarchic, but now it is worked out and it will be clear what is going on. Let's start with the fact that before the revolution you will receive an event with a flag icon, it displays which country will rise. In the event itself, you will have several options to answer, which will be further analysed.

The first kind is revolution. You have captured a country, but have not had time to assimilate a province, in this case there will be a revolution. You will have the choice to peacefully liberate the territory, if there is no such country, it will appear, if there is, the territory will be given to it. The other option is the suppression option, in this case discontent will grow and sooner or later the territory may rebel, the system is the same as with the peaceful liberation only to everything is added that the rebelling country is at war with you.

The second kind is the coup de grace. Have you kept taxes high for too long? Has your discontent grown and people are rioting? In the event you choose to roll back your actions, in the example taxes are rolled back, or suppress, in this case there is a risk of a coup in your country, you will have a change of government and your actions will be completely rolled back, from the example again taxes will be completely lowered.

The new system is more elaborate and interesting compared to the last one, and also the number of errors from revolutions is greatly reduced.
